One of the famous tourist objects in Bali situated in Tegalalang Village north of Ubud featured by the amazing rice terrace set the cliff. Tegalalang Village is located on 600 m above sea levels covered by good temperature where most of the villagers as a farmer. It offers the stunning view of rice terraces. This village is formerly as usually traditional Balinese village in Bali where most of the villagers are working on the rice field and some of them are working as government officer and other private sectors. Nowadays, Tegalalang Village is become famous because of the beautiful rice terrace that the tourist to come and see this amazing panorama. The visitors who visit this village will discover the beautiful green rice terrace on the cliff bank and understanding how does the local farmer work on it hardly to make rice. It is a beautiful site that you must go and visit directly and you will be in real Balinese ambiance.
The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese. Tirta Empul Temple was founded around a large water spring in 962 A.D. during the Warmadewa dynasty (10th-14th centuries). The name of the temple comes from the ground water source named “Tirta Empul”. The spring is the source of the Pakerisan river.The temple is divided into three sections: Jaba Pura (front yard), Jaba Tengah (central yard) and Jeroan (inner yard). Jaba Tengah contains 2 pools with 30 showers which are named accordingly: Pengelukatan, Pebersihan and Sudamala dan Pancuran Cetik (poison).The temple is dedicated to Wisnu, another Hindu god name for the supreme consciousness Narayana.
One of the new tourist attractions in Bali usually situated in the mountain area. The local Balinese farmers are very creative to plant variety of coffees but two species coffees that mostly planted in this island includes Robusta and Arabica. The farmers are stepping into a new idea to create their coffee plantation as a tourist attraction where you may visit it with some coffee for free testing. Inscription Kehen Temple A in 9 century has mentioned that there are 3 temples those are Hyang Api, Hyang Tanda and Hyang Karimama. Because Hyang Api has identical with Hyang Kehen, hence Kehen Temple had existed in 9 century.The Kehen Temple B Inscription from 11 century has mentioned that the royal official, Senapati Kuturan Pu Kandara and this inscription also outlined curse word in the oath like: hinapapa, bhrasta sakula sambandha, liputen ing klesa tan tamwang sarbopaya, that means abject mystery, destroy all families and descendants, wrapped stain disaster, did not find any efforts. From this inscription can be taken the conclusion that in 11 century when Anak Wungsu King led the governmental, this temple has been functioned as a swearing place especially for royal officials and witnessed by Kingdom Advisory Department which is on that day called by Pakiran-kiran I Jro Makabehan.The inscription from 13 century (year 1204) has mentioned that Hyang Kehen dan Hyang Wukir. Nowadays Hyang Kehen is similar with Kehen Temple and Hyang Wukiris Puncak Bukit Bangli Temple. In this inscription also mentioned that the tasks to execute the ceremony and Kehen Temple renovation that is done by Bangli Resident.
A traditional village that has its own characteristic existing in Kelurahan Kubu, Bangli district and Bangli regency. The beauty of this village with its surrounding where indicated that the Penglipuran village is very little of modernization influence.
